Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, winning just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden title following the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt after spring of that year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching approach and recurring outbursts on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced service.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.
Moutet saved four early opportunities in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
